Report: Man City winger Leroy Sane sacks his agent

Leroy Sane has reportedly sacked his agent amid speculation Bayern Munich are planning a fresh bid for his signature.

The Man City winger was heavily linked with a move to Bayern in the summer, but a potential transfer was curtailed after he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in August.

Sane is close to a return after several months on the sidelines, but it appears he sees his future away from the Etihad.

Sport1 report that Sane has now switched his representatives from David Beckham's agency DB Venture Limited, to LIAN Sports - who also look after Bayern's Jerome Boateng.

Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is said to have been made aware of Sane's decision, and the German champions remain keen on signing him .

Sane was expected to be Bayern's marquee signing of the summer, until his injury scuppered any chances of a move.

Phillipe Coutinho instead joined Bayern on loan from Barcelona , though it seems the Brazilian will be returning to the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

That would free up funds for Bayern to move for Sane, who is hopeful of completing a return to his homeland.

And City manager Pep Guardiola recently admitted a decision on Sane's future rests solely with the player.

When asked about the interest from Bayern, Guardiola said: "It's a question for Leroy, his agents and the club. I am not involved. What's important now is that he recovers well.

"After that, he knows what we believe in him, what we think of him and the rest is up to him and the club. It's not awkward (that Sane wants to leave) because I can't see him on the pitch. He is a nice person, I know him quite well.

"I was the guy who pushed the club and asked him to come here. But each one has his own family, desires and dreams."
