Kudos to Nairobi, Machakos firefighters

Credit must be given where it is due. Yesterday, fire engines from Nairobi and Machakos counties responded promptly to distress calls from residents of Muimara Estate on Mombasa Road following a fire incident. A maisonette within the estate caught fire at around 4 pm and the fire had started spreading to adjacent houses.

When the residents placed calls to the fire fighters in the city and nearby Mavoko, it took the fire fighters about 30 minutes to arrive in three fire engines and an ambulance ferrying paramedics. Within a short period of time, the fire was contained from spreading.

The quick response saved property worth millions of shillings.

Bravo to the fire fighters and keep up the good fight.
