Nyandarua OCPD Benjamin Onsongo displays an assortment of crude weapons recovered at a home in Kasuku village.
At least two people were killed in fresh inter-communal clashes at the border of Makueni and Kajiado counties over the weekend.

A 21-year-old man was attacked with a spear and died on the spot while another succumbed at Makindu sub-County Hospital.

The two were victims of a night ambush in Mikululo Ranch, Kibwezi West constituency by a group of 30-odd men armed with spears and swords.

Michael Ndonye, a survivor who is admitted at Makindu Hospital, told The Standard that he was with the two in a makeshift house when they were attacked.

Makueni County Commissioner Maalim Mohamed said the police have been deployed in the area to restore peace. “This is not the first time. It happened before and we solved the matter,” Maalim said.
