Company starts producing clothes that stop your farts from smelling
By Mirror | July 28th 2015
Farting is still one of the least socially-acceptable bodily functions and it can clear a room in seconds.
So what a relief that someone's created some fart-foiling clothing that'll leave everything smelling sweet in your wake.
The fabric neutralises any surreptitious stinks sent its way, and when you wash your kit, it's ready to go again
UK company Shreddies has been marketing parp-proof pants since 2013, and now they've gone and created jeans and pyjamas for those of us trying to smell rosy.
The science behind the clothing is down to a Zorflex-activated carbon lining.
The fabric actually neutralises any surreptitious stinks sent its way, and it doesn't run out - when you wash your kit, it's ready to go again.
The jeans and PJs are soon to be joined by chinos and office wear.
The jeans are selling for Sh 15000, while the pyjamas are Sh 11000.
Manager Richard Woolley explains: "The jeans and pyjamas feature a full carbon lining from the waistband to just above the knee which gives increased protection from odours."
The website reveals that they're answering a more serious need than you might at first have imagined.
"Shreddies can be worn by anyone but they offer the perfect solution to treat flatulence issues caused by IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), gastritis, Crohn’s disease, dyspepsia and colitis as well as food intolerances and many other bowel and digestive disorders.
"Anybody that suffers from excessive flatulence will know of the social issues that it can cause and Shreddies not only improves the physical symptoms but also helps reduce the anxiety associated with this condition."
The website adds: "The Shreddies motto is ‘Fart with confidence’ and our garments ensure just that."
