In a move aimed at championing youth development and civic leadership, young Kenyans who complete the prestigious Gold level of the President's Award-Kenya (PA-K) will now be given priority in public service jobs and training opportunities.
The announcement was made during the opening ceremony of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation's Africa Regional Conference in Mombasa, where Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, the Creative Economy and Sports, Salim Mvurya, revealed that President William Ruto has issued a formal proclamation recognising PA-K Gold Award holders as exemplary citizens deserving of fast-track consideration across public institutions.
