Shakahola deaths expose State failure to avert mass slaughter

As the number of bodies recovered from the mass graves in the Shakahola massacre increases by the day, we are running out of adjectives and superlatives to describe this horrendous crime done in the name of religion.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki visited the crime scene this week. He announced that the sect leader Paul Mackenzie would be charged with crimes of terrorism and genocide.
