Bangladesh finance minister Mustafa Kamal has advised African countries to be cautious with 'Chinese loans'.

In a statement last week, Kamal said Chinese investment under Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) across the world are causing alarm, including among the beneficiaries, as some realise, at times too late, the perils of the debt trap that it entails.
