Coca Cola appoints Phillipine Mtikitiki as General Manager

Coca-Cola has appointed Phillipine Mtikitiki (pictured) as General Manager, East and Central Africa Franchise effective June 1, 2019, to be based in Nairobi.

She takes over from Ahmed Rady who has been appointed as General Manager, Egypt.

In her new role, Phillipine will be responsible for developing and managing the business strategy across the region.

She has a wealth of experience in operations, marketing, planning, and commercial strategy. 

President of Coca-Cola’s Southern and East Africa Business Unit Bruno Pietracci said Phillipine’s expertise, track record and leadership will take the business to new heights.

Phillipine said she was thrilled to have been appointed as the first female boss for the East and Central Africa franchise.

Kenya Orient Insurance Ltd board has announced the appointment of James Kaguchia, a former executive at Centum Investments, as the company’s acting Managing Director.

This follows the exit of Muema Muindi who has been appointed to head the Daykio Group of Companies.

Kaguchia, who has until now been the executive director at Kenya Orient, will take up the role of MD in an acting capacity subject to further regulatory approvals.

Muindi has served at the helm of Kenya Orient Insurance for 13 years and was instrumental in its growth and transformation into one of the most innovative insurance firms in the country.

He has a wealth of knowledge having worked in various companies.

The board of Stanbic Holdings Plc and Stanbic Bank Kenya has appointed Kitili Mbathi as board chairman effective last week. Mr Mbathi served as Kenya Wildlife Director-General until 2017 when he bowed out.

Previously, he served as director of Stanbic Holdings Plc, managing directorof CFC Stanbic Bank Ltd since September 2008.

Mbathi also served as the chief executive of CfC Stanbic Holdings Ltd until January 29, 2016. Prior to this position, he was the MD at Stanbic Bank Uganda Ltd and Africa Regional MD or East Africa and Mauritius (based in Nairobi) at Standard Bank.

He also served as executive director of Stanbic Bank Ltd among other roles. Two more directors Eddy Njoroge and Fred Ojiambo retired.
