Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni will today arrive in Mombasa for a two-day State visit.
Museveni will be received by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Moi International Airport, before proceeding to State House, Mombasa, for a meeting and thereafter hold a joint press briefing.
During the meeting at State House the two leaders are expected to discuss best ways to address the quick movement of Ugandan cargo from the port.
At least 70 per cent of the cargo being handled at Mombasa port is mean for Uganda.
This shows Uganda is "our biggest customer”, a Kenya Ports Authority official said. Museveni is said to be keen to see the standard gauge railway extended to Malaba.
