Nondescripts too good for Strathmore Leos as the league enters round 10.

Kabras Sugar extended their unbeaten run in the 2018-19 Kenya Cup season when they beat Homeboyz 39-24 at the Kakamega showground yesterday.

The win saw the millers register their ninth win in 10 matches in what impressed head coach Henley Du Plessis.

"Our game plan worked out today and I am happy that we won against Homeboyz who won last season here. However, we want to work on our match finishing since it played an important role in today's game," Du Plessis said.

The sugar men made six tries against four of Homeboyz. In the match, Homeboyz took an early 7-0 lead five minutes into the match through Polycap Odhiambo and fly-half Evin Asena converted it.

Five minutes later, Kenya Sevens international Dan Sikuta touched down to bring the scores to 7-5 after Wokorach failed to convert.

The millers then took the lead at the half hour mark, with South African Mario Wilson finishing a fine run by Brian Tanga to bring the scores to 10-7 after another conversion.

Felix Ayange then got his first try of the day, beating the Homeboyz defence before William Diffu brought the scores to 17-14 with a second try for the visitors after Asena added the extra.

Kenya Cup try top scorer Philip Wokorach's try ensured Kabras led 24-14 at the break. A second-half comeback fight by Homeboyz through Leonard Mugaisi drop goal and Mohammed Omollo's try could not stop the millers as Wokorach's penalty, Ayange's second try and a late try by Geoffrey Shitambasi ensured Kabras won 39-24.

At Jamhuri showground in Nairobi, Moses Begi and Steven Odhiambo scored two tries each as Nondescripts beat Strathmore Leos 26-18  in a Kenya Cup match.

Strathmore opened the scoring midway through the first half as Philemon Olang scored a try, which Andrew Matoka failed to convert.

Nondies found a response with Fielden Sinei converting Steven Odhiambo's try to hand them a 7-5 lead.

From the restart, the hosts stretched their lead courtesy of Moses Begi, who scored a converted try between the posts.

Odhiambo scored his second try off a scrum, before Sinei added the extras to ensure Nondies took a lead at halftime.

On resumption, the university side cut the deficit through two successive penalties by Matoka.

Begi returned to the score sheet with a five-pointer, before Barry Guda scored a converted try for Strathmore.

At the KCB Sports Club, Mwamba handed Mean Machine a 53-8 hiding as KCB saw off Impala Saracens 25-3 at the same venue. Meanwhile, Blak Blad upset Kenya Harlequin 16-15 at the Kenyatta University grounds.
