Experiences: Youths narrate how they were conned by fake job adverts

Last month, Tuskys raised alarm over a fake job posting that was making rounds online. Applicants were required to apply after paying a mandatory application fee of Sh300 through mobile money. The retailer distanced itself from the advert and the paybill number which does not belong to it. Fraudsters are riding on the Internet wave, duping unsuspecting Kenyans in need of employment. Many Kenyans would not think twice about parting with Sh300 for the prospect of earning a hundred times that.
