Shopkeepers should have a sense of brotherhood


Even after the Government announced the arrival of subsidised maize flour, there are reports that some traders are still selling it at a higher price. With their eyes on super profits, some are hoarding the flour so they can sell it when the prices are higher.

All this is done at the expense of many poor Kenyans who cannot even afford the subsidised maize flour. The Government has a responsibility to ensure the flour is not only sold at the recommended price of Sh90 per 2kg packet but is also available on shelves.
