The article on donkeys published in the Sunday Standard of May 21 was excellent. However, the author did not highlight the suffering of donkeys especially in the Naivasha slaughterhouse.
This is a very critical subject for the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA). When our team visited the slaughterhouse recently, the lairage was overcrowded with about 1,000 donkeys.
