Water Hyacinth in Lake Victoria is a transition thing , not a disaster.

There are things we call nature and they can control themselves. One of them being water hyacinth menace in Lake Victoria which many organization has turned in to a cash cow.

According to me they solicits funds to eliminate the problem but the truth of the matter is they can’t, this is a natural thing and can easily control itself.

Ever since the problem started, there have been so many meetings in the hotels within Kisumu where people withdraw huge allowances in the name of policy making and coming up with strategies on how to tackle the problem.

No solution yet. But as we have observed , this weed come especially in February, grow to a certain level then dry up.

This happens without the intervention of the many meetings which a number of NGOs undertake.

Use this money to clean the lake after the weed has dried up, better than meetings for cash seeking.
