An Eldoret-based lawyer who filed a suit seeking to stop the burial of former MP Mark Too now claims his life is in danger.

Yesterday, Simon Lilan claimed some powerful people wanted to eliminate him after he questioned the manner in which the powerful politician died.

Mr Lilan wants more investigations conducted into the circumstances surrounding the former nominated MP’s death.

The lawyer said Mr Too died a mysterious death at Saint Luke Hospital in Eldoret on December 31. He has disputed a postmortem report released to the family, which revealed Too died of a heart attack.

The lawyer alleged he had received threats from someone who called him on his mobile phone. He said he had reported the threats at the Eldoret Police Station.

“I am fully aware that some powerful people want to finish me following my stand on the death of Mr Too. I have reported the matter to the police station and request to be provided with security” he said.
