A celebration for Ikonge residents

The residents of Ikonge in Nyamira North Sub-country will soon have access to clean drinking water. This is after Gusii Water and Sanitation Company (GWASCO) started constructing a water treatment plant along the Riabirato stream.

The construction of the treatment plant which kicked off a few weeks ago will serve a high population living in Ikonge market Centre. The project under the construction of Dexterous Limited is aimed at serving the high population which relies on the small stream for their domestic uses. The company engineer Mr. Bosire said that in the next few months the project will be completed and water kiosks constructed from which residents of Ikonge market and its environs will get clean water.
