The Inspector General of police recently warned security officers accompanying politicians or government officials to ‘illegal’ events or functions of dire consequences. This came after the opposition led by CORD principals demonstrated at the IEBC headquarters. He was indirectly trying to address the opposition and its supporters.
If I may ask Mr. IG does the same constitution bar the Principal Secretaries from attending political rallies? Are they normally accompanied by their security details to such functions? At no point have you threatened their security officers of unmentioned consequences by taking up such functions. Why do purport to protect the constitution through biasness?
