Tackle corruption dragon without fear

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s warning that anybody found to have dabbled in corruption will face dire consequences is encouraging. Notably, corruption thrives in this country not due to lack of laws and policies, but the indecisiveness of those supposed to fight it.

For far too long, Kenyans have cried for prosecution of those found to have stolen public funds. That is why if President’s words are anything to go by we are on the right track. As Pope Francis said, corruption is so sweet, perhaps even sweeter than honey and as such the punishment meted out on the corrupt should be as bitter as bitterness can get.
