Molo, Kenya: Police officers in Elburgon have arrested a man for allegedly molesting nine boys aged between nine and 12 years in Molo sub-county.

David Mugo, a Sunday school teacher at Kasarani Presbyterian Church of East Africa, is alleged to have picked the minors from the church and taken them to his house in Kasarani on the pretext of holding Bible study.

The incident was reported to one of the parents by one of the victims who said the suspect used to molest them during the countrywide teachers strike.

A parent to one of the minors said he trusted Mr Mugo, a father of two children, to instill good morals and be a good role model to his son only to learn of his ill act.

"This is inhumane. The Sunday school teacher is well known to my son and whenever he comes to my home, they have interacted freely and I did not suspect anything," said the parent.

The parent raised the alarm after he spotted his 10-year-old boy walking with difficulty and refusing to mingle with Mugo.

He claimed that after the act, Mugo allegedly threatened to kill them if they told anyone what had happened.

Faithful and the public arrested him in Elburgon town on Sunday evening. Molo Deputy OCPD Paul Mbusia, said the suspect was rescued by police officers from being lynched by the public.

Mr Mbusia said the minors said the suspect used to drug them.
