MACHAKOS: Some private clinics and chemists in Machakos County have been transformed into factories of death by unscrupulous medics. Investigations by The Standard showed that these clinics and chemist outlets usually conduct illegal abortions.
The Standard managed to get confessions of close confidants of owners of some of the health facilities where such operations are said to be procured as well as first-hand testimonies of young women who literally brushed shoulders with death because of abortion related complications.
