Republic of Lithuania appoints Lawyer George Oraro first consul in East Africa

MOMBASA, KENYA: The Republic of Lithuania has set up its East Africa consulate in Kenya, and appointed prominent lawyer Counsel George Oraro as its first consul for the region.

The consulate will be based in Nairobi, according to reports which indicate that besides seeking to establish a diplomatic foothold in East Africa, the former Soviet Republic's planned first consulate in the region demonstrate's Lithuania's growing interest in regional nations' energy sector.
