Police vetting to end in April, says Johnston Kavuludi

NAIROBI: The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) is set to complete vetting of some senior officers by April.

The officers serving in the ranks of senior Superintendents, the newly created rank of Assistant Superintendents and officers from the Internal Affairs Unit will be grilled by the commission on matters such as their integrity.

The process is expected to kick off on February 1 in Coast and later spread to the rest of the country. Speaking in Nairobi, NPSC Chairman Johnston Kavuludi said the vetting process would be fast tracked to ascertain the officers' suitability.
