KPL: Kahata shopping for new club abroad

Former Thika United midfielder Francis Kahata has confirmed he will not be part of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) in the 2015 season. He hinted he will be joining a foreign team soon which he, however, declined to name. The Harambee Stars utility midfielder’s contract with Albania side Tirana expired late last year and he is yet to get a top-flight club to play for. Kahata believes there is plenty of hope in the KPL. He said the organisers should strive to seek sponsors ahead of the new league format. “The 18-team league will fill gaps and give more players chances in the league. More new talents will be unearthed,” said Kahata.
