ATHLETICS: Big entry for Madoka Marathon

A big entry including last year’s champions are set to battle in the ninth edition of the Madoka Safaricom Half Marathon on October 18. Athletics Kenya Assistant Treasurer Kimoni Kisalu said all arrangements are complete and the event will be held at the Taita Taveta Agricultural University Centre, Ngerenyi in Taita Taveta County. He said over 1,000 athletes are expected to battle for the lucrative prizes at stake. The prize money has been raised from Sh100,000 to Sh250,000 for the winners in the 21km distance. Winners in 10km and other races will also get cash awards.
