Lenku engages services of retired police officers in fight against crime

NAIROBI, KENYA: More than 10,000 retired police officers will now be involved in offering security advisory through the Nyumba Kumi and Community policing to supplement police operations, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku has said.

However, their engagement will be implemented in a structured framework to provide an interface at community and county levels as the government grapples to bolster degenerating national security levels.
