Outlets selling wines, spirits shut down in Nandi as death toll from killer brew rise to nine

Kapsabet, Kenya: All alcohol outlets selling wines and spirits in Nandi County have been shut down after the death of nine people who consumed illicit brew.

National Authority Against Drugs and Alcohol Abuse (Nacada) CEO William Okedi, who visited Kapsabet hospital, said the closing down of the premises was a measure to contain the spread of the lethal brew.
