Court summons county secretary and Rift Valley Water Services boss

The Industrial Court in Nakuru has summoned Nakuru County Secretary and Rift Valley Water Services Board Chief Executive Officer to attend court without fail next month.

Justice Byram Ongaya instructed that Joseph Motari and Japhet Mutai respectively appear before him on July 7, for the hearing of a contempt case against them.

The directive was issued during a mention of a case against the two instituted by embattled Nakuru Water Sanitation Services Company finance director Geoffrey Asanyo.

Through his advocate Kipkoech Ngetich, Asanyo accused the duo of refusing to comply with an earlier court order. But in reply, lawyer Jonathan Ayim holding brief for Prof Tom Ojienda for the two said the county secretary was too busy and they could not trace him to sign affidavits.
