Over 500 participants took part in a race at Nairobi Primary School to raise funds for the translation of the Bible at the weekend. The races included a 10km road race and 4km walk to raise funds for the exercise in which CIC Insurance injected a Sh1 Million sponsorship. “The money will support the translation of the Bible into various local languages,” said CIC Insurance CEO Nelson Kuria who flagged off the races. Other sponsors of the race were Pacific Insurance Brokers and the Bible Translation and Literacy. “People need to know God and this can be aided by supplying them with Bibles and other religious materials in their own languages,” said Kuria.
