Robin van Persie ruled out of Manchester United squad for a month with a thigh injury

EPL: Manchester United striker Robin van Persie will be out for a month with a thigh injury.

United boss David Moyes confirmed the Holland international had suffered the injury when he took the corner that led to Phil Jones' match-winner in the Champions League triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

"Robin van Persie is out for a month," said Moyes. "He picked up a thigh strain in taking a corner kick which led to the goal."

United face Aston Villa on Sunday as they look to bounce back from back-to-back league defeats at home at the hands of Everton and Newcastle Utd.  Van Persie has scored seven goals in 11 Premier League appearances so far this season.
