KPL: Kakamega’s Western Stima lose first home league tie

By BRIAN MOSETI

Kakamega’s Western Stima lost their first home match against to visiting side Tusker at the Bukhungu Stadium yesterday.

The game saw Stima put on a weak display as Tusker’s Were Jesse stole an opportunity 25 minutes into the first half to deliver home a long shot that saw stima’s custodian David Juma  sprawling to the wrong side.

Stima Coach Francis Baraza commenting on his performance this season said, “It’s very painful to lose the last game of the season especially at home.

The season has been tough and even if am not happy about the position I have taken, I am still happy with the performance of my players this season. You can also expect better football and a  side to reckon with in the next season.”

Tusker’s Robert Matano also quipped, “It’s a good feeling to get this win. My players worked hard and it has been generally a good season for us though with a little tribulations.”

He also commented on next season saying, “ We will correct and improve on any aspects we might have been lacking and present a better team next season.”
