A memorial service to commemorate the first anniversary of former Internal Security Minister Prof George Saitoti’s death will be held on Sartuday.

The service will be held at the late minister’s home in Kitengela. According to one of the organisers, Kajiado West MP Moses ole Sakuda, it will also incorporate a memorial service for his bodyguard, Joshua Tonkei who also perished in the crash.

Saitoti, his then assistant Orwa Ojodeh, bodyguard Thomas Murimi and pilots Luke Oyugi and Nancy Gituanja died when their helicopter crashed in Ngong area on June 10, last year.

The findings of the chopper crash inquiry were handed over to President Kibaki by Deputy Chief Justice Kalpana Rawal and her team.
