Covid-19: Protect the rights of women, girls

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to ravage the world causing untold suffering and misery. The world has been turned upside down within months. Millions of people have fallen critically ill. Thousands more, including health workers, have died after contracting the virus. The world economy has been brought to its knees, pushing many people into extreme poverty. 

For now, new coronavirus (SARS-Cov-2) appears to be spreading at a much slower rate in Africa than in Europe and USA. But this may largely be due to lack of widespread testing.
