Leaking government

By Edward Mahanda Indakwa | June 26th 2015

The amount of information leaked by senior government operatives allied to different factions within Jubilee is shocking and shameful.

If founding President Jomo Kenyatta woke up today, he would have a fit because as he emphasised, Government is siri kali (top secret), not serikali.

A government cannot protect citizens when sensitive information is bandied about in smoky pubs.

This is an indication of the cannibalisation of the civil service by political operatives not schooled in public service in the manner of say, Ambassador Francis Muthaura.

The civil service is a career, not a dumping ground for activists, failed politicians and gossip mongers.
