The panic that has gripped some ODM MPs over Mudavadi’s sudden epiphany as regards the presidency is amusing and infantile. If this continues, two prominent rivals of the Lang’ata MP won’t need to ride on The Hague issue to derail his so-called train to the house on the hill. The "money has been poured" chants that were last heard when Kanu was in power have returned, only this time it is Raila’s deputy being accused of working for the PM’s rivals. Give us a break! If ODM really believes in fair play, it should stop this nonsense. Unfortunately for the PM, history shows he consistently makes the wrong choice when confronted by a threat, real or imagined, to his dominance. So much for the Orange revolution!

Villagers in the tiny Spanish hamlet of Sodeto are rolling in cash after collectively winning a major stake in the annual $950 million Spanish national lottery, with each enjoying a minimum payout of $130,000. Palaver would like to know how they managed to pool their cash to buy the winning ticket. It could be a revelation on how to finance our new county governments!
