The Kenya Tourist Board won top awards at the just concluded Asia and Africa trade fairs. The board bagged Best National Tourism Board in the Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean category.
The award was last year won by Mauritius Tourism Board. The award is sponsored by the Emirates Holiday, a division of Emirates group and is the largest tour operator in the Middle East. It also won the 2nd best Tourist Board award in the Good Safari Awards during Indaba 2010 in Durban, South Africa. The board said it won the awards in recognition of her marketing and publicity initiatives last year.
