Eugene Wamalwa tells William Ruto to calm down, stop attacks on Uhuru Kenyatta

Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has asked Deputy President William Ruto to work on his angry pronouncements as the polls draw near.

Wamalwa characterised Ruto's utterances on Nandi and Bungoma on Friday as 'un-presidential' for a man who holds the second highest office in the land.

"We heard him speak tough, even going personal on his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta. I ask him not to personalise issues. Let him not drag family issues into national politics. We can simply sell our political agenda and ask for votes in a decent manner," he said.

"Ruto should cool down, especially against Uhuru, who is still his boss even if he doesn't support him."

He further asked Ruto to leave Uhuru alone since he is not on the ballot.
