CMA posts 16% rise in earnings

 An increase in rights issues and listing of new companies at the Nairobi Securities Exchange has seen the capital markets post a 16 percent rise in earnings for the period ended June 30th 2011. Earnings during the period rose to Sh565m compared to the Sh429m recorded a year earlier. Capital Markets Authority Chief Executive Stella Kilonzo also attributes the performance to recovery of the capital markets that saw a net surplus of income rise of up to Sh27m.
