Uhuru comes to the aid of boy who was stuck in India

President Uhuru Kenyatta has responded to the plea of Baby Ethan who is admitted in Forties Hospital, India.

Last week, Ureport published a story highlighting the boy’s urgent need for surgery after he fell on his head and developed complications.

On Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Head of State had come to the boy’s rescue and will undergo a specialized operation next week.

“Baby Ethan who is admitted in Forties hospital in India, will now undergo specialized operation next week after H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta responded to his plea.

“His appeal was published by the Standard Newspaper last week,” read the statement in part.

Adding: “The message from the President was delivered to the Mother and the Hospital by Kenya's Amb to India Amb Willy Bett. Ethan's mother, Veronica expressed her gratitude to the President for helping her out in her moment of desperation.”

Through his mother, Ethan stated that 14months ago he fell on his head while playing with his friends.

“It was very painful and it injured me badly. I was rushed to hospital.

“My life has never been the same for me and seizures have become part of my life,” he wrote.

Further, he stated that he needed Sh3.5million for surgery to rectify his condition.

“It will help me get better and I can come back home and go to school and play with my friends.

“I want to be a footballer when I grow up. Please help me to be better again,” he concluded.

According to doctors in India, the Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) surgery is extremely important for Ethan as the seizures are unable to be controlled even with multiple drugs.
