Ringtone reveals mega deal with Uhuru that earned him millions

Kenyan Gospel artiste Alex Apoko aka Ringtone has revealed that he made millions from a deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta that enabled him to acquire property in one of Nairobi’s high-end estates.

Speaking during an interview on K24, Ringtone revealed that back in 2013, President Kenyatta used one of his songs and this earned him roughly Sh500,000 per day for around three months.

“Music pays. I made a lot of money in 2013 when President Uhuru Kenyatta used my song.

"Can you imagine you have a campaign for example 90 days where you are being paid like Ksh500,000 every day? That is a lot of money," he said.

Further, he distanced himself from claims that he engages in illegal businesses, maintaining that he earns from his music and other investments.

The singer also admitted that he has a home in Runda and Karen, “…at times I live in Karen and on other days I come to Runda.”

He added that some of his neighbours include Prophet David Awour, preachers Margaret Wanjiru, the Kiuna’s and Pius Muiru.

The singer has often been criticized for showing off but he attributes all his success to hard work and prayer.

He also claims to be looking for a wife and at times carries a placard around looking for potential life partners.
