Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom fail quality of service test, fined Sh311 million

NAIROBI, KENYA: The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has fined three mobile operators Sh311 million for failing to meet the quality of service (QoS) standards for the 2015/2016 financial year.

According to the QoS report by the CA, neither Safaricom, Airtel nor Telkom Kenya achieved the 80 per cent minimum threshold set for compliance with a number of QoS parameters for the fourth year running.
