Kongoli, said they were awaiting for motor vehicle inspection report to determine the cause of the accident.

"At this moment in time, we are not certain whether the driver of the salon vehicle lost control of the vehicle due to breaks failure or any other reason. That will be determined by motor vehicle inspectors," said.

Kongoli, added that traffic officers were still interrogating the driver of the salon car over the accident.

"The driver escaped with minor body injuries and is at the police station being interrogated over the circumstances which led to the accident," he said.

The wreckage of the ill-fated motorcycle and vehicle were towed to Londiani police station.

The bodies of the deceased were removed to Molo sub county hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
