Located on the right side of the larger Imara Daima estate, sitting on a four and half acre piece of land is a new block of apartments set to redefine home investment with affordable and spacious apartments.  Say hello to Imara Gardens Apartments.

The apartments are in three floors flats with a total of eight blocks in each of the three phases, with the first resident expected to take up residence by December this year.

With amazing features, the apartments come at a modest offer price of 7.8 million shillings for a spacious three bed roomed apartment. A far cry for an almost double value for a similar luxury apartment in Nairobi’s up-market estates.

“Our main concept is to provide quality apartments at an affordable price. The reason why its relatively cheap than similar luxury apartments is because land in Imara Daima is cheaper compared to other up market areas such as Kileleshwa and Lavington. And the fact that we are both developers and contractors which has helped us cut back on cost.” says Abdullahi Dahir, the Director at Imara Daima Gardens project.

Upgraded Infrastructure

The future of Mombasa road’s environs in Nairobi was seemingly bright after the road was opened up for use. True to form, commercial businesses with a desire to move out of the ‘crowded’ CBD opted to move their offices to Mombasa road owing to its improved infrastructure.

No other sector is this demand felt than the real estate industry. Driving the demand is the ease mode of transportation which is also set for a major boost with the setting up of a commuter railway stations from Nairobi’s CBD to Syokimau with stopovers in Imara Daima and surrounding Mombasa Road environs.

With growth in a number of businesses is increase in number of employees working in Mombasa road. This has pushed up demand for residential houses for employees seeking to be conveniently near their work places. Making the residential property real estate sector to be in a unique position in the area.

Though the residential property demand has been met by development of mid income houses in Mombasa Road’s Imara Daima and Embakasi areas, up-market housing demand to tap on the increase number of executive clients working in Mombasa road is far from being met. This is where the new state of the art Imara Daima Gardens luxury apartments steps in.

Luxurious Interior

Separated into two and three bedroom apartments, each apartment offers a cool, home welcoming feeling. The daytime experience is pleasurable with bright illuminating light in the spacious living room. The windows are extra high and wide and covering a huge portion of the wall overlooking the balcony allowing in as much light as possible.

The high ceiling in each apartment also gives the impression of extra room and does justice to light being illuminated in the room. In the rear balcony are two rear features that are not too common with apartments let alone luxury apartments in upmarket neighbourhoods- a laundry room and servant’s quarters complete with a washroom.

“It is one of the unique features that Imara Gardens apartments offers. The concept came about a little later in the project. In fact the phase two apartments have bigger servants’ quarters.” Says Abdullahi.

The project divided into three phases has each apartment having impeccable finishing and fittings. The kitchen is fitted with high quality woods and a rare ‘smoke hood’ to suck out smoke from the kitchen.

“Our key strong point is structural integrity and high quality finishes. We are involved in the whole process including procurement of building materials to construction itself so as to ensure we give quality to buyers,” says Abdullahi.

“We challenge buyers to come with their independent architects, engineers and quantity surveyors to verify this.” He adds

The bedrooms are not left out with natural lighting and spacious closets for that posh feeling. The estate will also have a mini shopping centre to save them on the long trips to far shopping centres as well as a gymnasium for the residents.

“Our clients will not have to go through the stress of putting up antennas or cable dish for their TVs. We have set up antennas and cable dish of both Zuku and DSTV. All they will need to come is their decoder and they are set to go.” Points out Abdullahi on the entertainment bit.

The estate is also nearby the Riara group of schools to cater for residents with school going children.

Drainage

In recent events situation have cropped up where the Embakasi and Nairobi environs where contractors sink water boreholes without following due procedure in an effort to curb water shortages.

Coupled with the option of using septic tanks instead of connecting to the main City Council of Nairobi sewerage system, there have been cases of borehole water mixing with waste from septic water leading to a situation where foul smell comes from the tap water.

To curb off this situation Imara Gardens have connected their sewerage system to the main Nairobi City Council sewage system. To help with the water situation, there is underground water storage tank for each block. With a capacity of 160,000 litres they help prevent water problems during shortages.

According to Abdullahi, the third phase of Imara Gardens project will be ready in early 2014.
