Police in Homa Bay are looking for a retired primary school teacher who allegedly sodomised a Grade Three pupil.

The teacher reportedly committed the offence at Koyoo cub-location in Kakdhimu West Location, Rachuonyo North sub-county.

Area Chief Margaret Ager claimed that the teacher has been luring the with goodies before sodomising him.

“The matter was reported by the boy’s mother. The boy said the teacher had sodomised him three times and gave him Sh10 after every incident,” Ager claimed.

Ager said the boy was taken to the hospital where medical officers confirmed that indeed he was sodomised.

“The boy was taken to a health facility where medics confirmed that he had been sodomised,” she said.

Rachuonyo North sub-county Police Commander Lydia Parteiyie said her office received the report on sodomy and launched investigations.

Parteiyie noted that the boy had filled a P3 form.

“I am aware of the incident and the boy was taken to a hospital and filled a P3,” she said.

She said police are pursuing the teacher to bring him to justice.

“The suspect ran away after he realised the incident had been reported to us. We are looking for him to ensure legal action is taken against him,” Parteiyie said.

The police boss urged parents to monitor the movement of their children to prevent them from falling into the hands of perverts.

“Let people be responsible in society to avoid destroying the lives of other people’s children,” Parteiyie said.
