Airports Council International, the global body which represents interests of airport operators, has named Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) the best-improved airport in Africa.
JKIA emerged winner in the Best Improved Airport in the Africa Region category in what is considered as the aviation industry’s most comprehensive airport customer satisfaction bench-marking programme.
The survey captures passengers’ experiences at all airport service contact points at more than 300 airports worldwide.
Kenya Airports Authority’s (KAA) Corporate Affairs Manager Dominic Ngige, who received the award on behalf of the authority in Brisbane, Australia, said the recognition is timely given that JKIA is undergoing major upgrading that is set to reinforce its position as a regional hub.
