The construction of interchanges at Ahero and Kericho will start early next year. Kenya National Highways Authority project engineer John Ndinika says the agency has secured funding from the government and the World Bank under the Kenya Transport Support Sector Projects to facilitate construction of the interchanges.
The interchanges will ease traffic flow and movement of goods in the region, which boasts of tea farming and processing and rice growing in Kisumu region. Ndinika noted that designs have already been completed and the project was awaiting award of tender.
