Counties to have video conferencing by next year

All the 47 counties will soon have video conferencing facilities following the Government’s initiative to roll out a comprehensive ICT plan.

Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Principal Secretary Joseph Tiampati said the ICT solution will transform the way counties interact and do business with each other and with the national government.

Tiampati said secure and reliable video conferencing solutions for the devolved units will make communication easier and less costly.

“Counties will collaborate effectively through real-time and face-to-face video calls,” the PS said. He said farmers can reap big by embracing the internet and latest ICT solutions.
