Coast’s premier tourism body finally rebrands

Kenya: One of Kenyans largest tourism lobby group, Mombasa and Coast Tourist Association (MCTA) has finally changed its name to Kenya Coast Tourist Association (KCTA).

A letter sent to the association from the office of the Attorney General dated January 26 , 2015 confirmed that an earlier application by MCTA seeking name change has been approved. The confirmation letter is signed by Deputy Registrar of Societies, Joseph Onyango.

''This move further contributes to making the association more conspicuous and authoritative in its pursuit to advance advocacy for a better and favourable business environment in the region,'' KCTA Executive Officer, Millie Odhiambo said.

She said KCTA has also started a Governors' Round table to come up with a clear business agenda on county hospitality industry development.- Philip Mwakio
