Old Mutual embarks on financial plan in counties

Nairobi; Kenya: Old Mutual Kenya has embarked on a ground-based financial education initiative to empower locals in financial and proper investment decision making.

The financial services firm targets citizens at the county level through use of financial experts, as well as designate brand ambassadors who locals can relate to.

Speaking at the financial education forum in Eldoret, Old Mutual Kenya Group CEO Peter Mwangi emphasised the critical role the private sector should play in educating the nation on investment.

The financial forum saw about 600 participants get basic financial information on budgeting, diversification of investment and financial discipline. Local celebrities Jacquey Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda, Dennis Mugo also known as OJ and Mogaka are serving as brand drivers in steering this conversation among Kenyans.
