Mishandle, publish banknotes at your own peril, CBK warns

Those who wish to use the banknotes must apply and provide CBK with information and reasons why and how they want to use the notes.

Did you know that it is illegal to use images of the Kenyan currency notes, whether current or historical, without the approval of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK)?

CBK has now cautioned Kenyans against taking photos of bank notes or posing with the money in photos or videos saying it is illegal.
