How Kenyan counties share roads billions in 2019/20 budget

NAIROBI, KENYA: The Kenya Roads Board has disbursed over Sh65 billion for various road projects across the country.
The fund is to be shared between Kenya’s 47 counties, various authorities, Kenya Wildlife Service, and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
As per the county allocation of revenue act, the board disbursed Sh8.984 billion to 47 county governments for the financial year 2019/20, a conditional grant for maintenance of county roads.
